“The money is not in the list, the money is in the quality of the list”
You can spend all day building a list of thousands of people but if they don’t convert into sales eventually then your efforts were a bit fruitless.

The more responsive your list, the easier it is for you to create valuable content that will convert into sales. The reason why most people have a one percent conversion rate on their sales page, is because the people on their list aren’t nearly as responsive as they wish them to be.
People need to want to be there.
Let’s jump in…
1. Stop the opt in bullying.
The first thing I want you to do, goes against everything that you have been taught in internet marketing. You were taught to send someone to your landing page or opt-in page and then have that visitor put in their email address, to get whatever content you’re promising them for free.
The truth is, it works for getting subscribers but it should never be about just getting subscribers, the goal is to get quality subscribers that take action.
This old method is counterproductive for having a really responsive list and is what I call, “opt-in bullying”.
In other words, you’re making them do something that they really don’t want to do. So, you’ll find out really quickly that people will use fake emails, enter email accounts that they never check, just to access your content but there will also be really high amounts of people on your list, that will never take any type of action.
Think about it. When you go to a page and they are presenting you with a solution, all you have to do, is put in your email address to get it, right?
But… Do you really think people want to put in their email address or do they just want the contents of what you’re hiding behind the opt in page?
If you don’t know, let me be the first to tell you that, 96 percent or higher don’t want to put in their email address. They just want the contents.
So, let me show you how to properly get people on your list, that actually want to be there and have a high potential of spending money with you.
What you do is, when they land on your page, you’ll already have your content there (no opt-in). This way, you can introduce yourself and they can enjoy your content.
At the bottom of your content you can have a part 2.
You can say something like:
“If you enjoyed this, you will love part 2, which (explain what they will learn). I’d also like to send you some of my killer strategies that has skyrocketed my income. Enter your email address and I’ll get that sent right over to you.
You want to do it this way because they are choosing to be on your list instead of being bribed. You gave them what they asked for and now they can choose whether they want to subscribe based on the content value you have given them.
If you fill your list up with people who want to be there and people that already know that you give valuable content they are 65% more likely to buy from you.
The verdict is to entice them with your content and give them what they want first. Imagine getting 3,000 subscribers and 90% of them don’t like your content, that’s 2,700 subscribers.
You’ll send out emails and you’ll get an incredibly low response rate and you perhaps may begin to think that email marketing doesn’t work.
Perspective is everything
Let’s move on…
2. Talk to them directly.
This one is pretty simple but I had to add it because you won’t believe how many people are writing their subscribers and talking to them as if they’re a group. This is one of the fastest ways to make your subscribers feel like they are not special.
When you write a message to the “people” on your list, you have to make sure that when you’re addressing them, you are addressing that individual person. In other words, you are writing your emails as if you only have one person on your list.
Using the word “you” is really effective, it makes them feel like you’re connecting with just them. Something else that I’ve been testing that is really effective that no one talks about is the “we” concept.
This is how the “we” concept works, during your emails you want to make them apart of your content.
“Now, I want you to think about this; let’s say we were to send out an email to 1000 people and get a 25 percent conversion rate, then that’ll mean you and I will have gotten 250 sales from that email blast. Isn’t that awesome?”
You’ll notice that, using “we” can make them feel like you’re not only talking to them but with them as well.
Connection is key.
3. They never forget.
The people on your list will never forget when you give them awesome content.
You have one job and one job only and that is to make sure that they understand your content to a point where they feel certain and that it’s instantly applicable.
This means that, they can go out with confidence and implement what you just taught them and get results. So, make sure whatever you’re teaching them is good enough to be talked about to a friend.
If you continuously deliver great content to them, then believe me because I’m living proof of this “success will chase you” rather you want it or not.
